[dropcap]Y[/dropcap]uvraj Singh has been an inspiration for cricket aspirants and youngsters across the country. So, when he turned 37 today (December 12), wishes and love poured in from all over the country.
In between all the celebrations the cricketer took to Twitter and pledged to support a noble cause in a video. He wrote, “Today, on my birthday, I pledge to support the treatment of 25 children suffering from cancer, through my foundation YouWeCan.”
Yuvi celebrated his birthday with wife Hazel Keech and close friends at his residence in Delhi, on Tuesday night. Among the guests were his colleague Zaheer Khan with wife and actress Sagarika Ghatge, former cricketer Ajit Agarkar’s wife Fatema Agarkar and other friends.
Sagarika uploaded the pictures on instagram from the party captioning it, “Happy birthday, Yuvraj. Wishing you the best of the best always. Love.”
Fatema Agarkar also posted pictures from inside the celebration on her instagram page. “Happy birthday, Yuvi,” she captioned.
Sachin Tendulkar wished Yuvraj by praising him on twitter. “The spirit with which you have overcome every obstacle in life both on and off the field is the stuff of legends. Wishing a very happy birthday to the one and only @yuvstrong12! Have a great one. #HappyBirthdayYuvi,” he tweeted.
Yuvraj and Hazel got married two years ago, in November 2016, in Goa. Recently, the couple celebrated their second wedding anniversary, and Yuvi shared a photo with Hazel on Instagram with the caption, “We made it to 2 years pulling each other’s leg, standing up for each other in good and bad times !. Many more to go, happy anniversary biwi.”
Yuvraj has been an inspiration for many as he fought with cancer in 2012 and made a fantastic comeback with a T20 match against England. He also listed his name in history by hitting six sixes against England in 2007 T20 World Cup.
Yuvraj Singh last played in 2018’s Indian Premier League (IPL) matches for team Kings XI Punjab.
