Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is likely to unveil a 7-foot tall statue of Lord Rama at the Shodh Sansthan Museum in Ayodhya on Friday.
The statue will depict Kodamb Ram — one of the five avatars of Lord Rama. Though the museum has over 2,500 artifacts related to Lord Rama and his life, it did not have any piece depicting Kodamb Rama.
According to the government spokesman, the statue was purchased from the Karnataka State Arts and Craft Emporium.
The Chief Minister will also participate in the birthday celebrations of Mahant Nritya Gopal Das.
His visit to Ayodhya was announced a day after the Shiv Sena said on Wednesday that party chief Uddhav Thackeray will visit Ayodhya next week on June 15.
The CM will inspect the developmental works in Ayodhya during his visit. A press release said during his visit, the CM will visit Ram ki Paidi and see the under-construction prayer place there. He will also inspect the construction work at Ayodhya bus station, beautification work of Guptar Ghat etc.
