New Delhi: She made her Bollywood debut in 2012 with Vicky Donor. It’s been nearly six years that Yami Gautam has been actively working in Hindi movies. While actors usually end up becoming friends during their time in the industry, Yami says that her true friends are rather based in her hometown, Chandigarh.
She says, “My friends will always be my Chandigarh gang.” The relations she built here with her co-stars are more professional. “It is always important to have good acquaintances and share good rapport with your co-stars, which I always have in all my projects. I also bonded well with Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor during Batti Gul Meter Chalu,” adds Shraddha.
While they say two actresses can never be friends, Yami says that she connected well with Shraddha. “We used to chatter a lot with each other on sets. During the shooting of certain scenes, we would just burst out laughing uncontrollably. We were being too friendly with each other. However being ‘friendly’ and being ‘friends’ are two different things,” she clears as she signs off.
