Hogan is regarded by many as the greatest professional wrestler of all time. A man with charismatic flamboyance, he was born on August 11, 1953. His flair has won hearts, be it on the stage or the silver screen.

First and only wrestler to be a cover boy

Hogan in 1985 became the only wrestler ever to be featured on the cover page of the magazine Sports Illustrated. Now 33 years down the lane he tweeted “Wow it’s been 33 years since I was on the cover of SI and still the only wrestler to have that honour brother HH.”

Meeting with the real Hulk got him the name

On a talk show Hulk Hogan met the real incredible Hulk himself Lou Ferrigno. The host was quick to notice that Hulk stood actually taller than the Hulk himself who was 6ft 4 inches tall. So he started going by Terry ‘The Hulk’ Boulder.

He escaped aviation disasters wearing red

Hulk reportedly got away during two airplane disasters. In a talk show he revealed that both the times he was wearing red crimson shorts and has ever since taken his undergarment choice seriously while flying.

Hulk was informed of his divorce by a reporter

In 2007, his wife Linda filed for a divorce and he was questioned about the same by a reporter. Hogan, at first, was totally caught off-guard and remained dead silent. Later he said, “Thanks for the great information. I’m kind of shocked. You caught me off-guard. My wife has been in California for about three weeks. … Holy smokes. Wow, you just knocked the bottom out of me. … I just pulled over to the side of the road for five minutes to find out what was going on here.”

He nearly got a role in a Batman movie

While Arnold Schwarzenegger would eventually get to play Mr. Freeze in the Batman movie, if reports are to be taken true, Hogan was the third choice in the line for the role. Would have been amazing to see the Hogan against the Batman!
