New Delhi: On World Environment Day Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut joined Isha Foundation and the #BeatPlasticPollution movement. In a recently shared video she can be seen taking off a plastic bag off her face and talking of the importance of banning single-use plastic items.
The concept behind the campaign is to urge individuals to put on a plastic bag for merely 10 seconds to realise how it can suffocate us, and understand what we are doing to the next generation. With this pitch for banning single-use plastic.
“In 30 years, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. I urge everyone to ban single-use plastic bags. I’m joining #RallyForRivers & @UNEnvironment in the fight against plastic pollution,” said Kangana Ranaut on a video shared by her team on Twitter and Instagram.
