In Uttar Pradesh, the lightning created havoc on Sunday. This resulted in the death of 32 people in different districts of the state, while 13 were injured, who were admitted to the hospital. Kanpur and Fatehpur recorded the highest number of 7 deaths each. In Rajasthan, four people were killed.
At the same time, four people including a woman were killed in Jhalawar in Rajasthan. Besides, 27 labourers were injured in Pali district, they were standing under a tree to avoid rain on Sunday.
Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath condoled the deaths due to natural calamity. He announced financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh each to the family of the deceased. Yogi government said in a statement that even on Saturday one person was killed by the lightning in Deoria.
