Mumbai: They might enjoy shopping at the streets or binging at a street side food stall, but celebrities avoid taking to such cheap thrills once they become a recognisable face to save themselves from the commotion caused due to their popularity.
However, Sushant Singh Rajput indulged into every bit of it as he shot for his upcoming film Kedarnath in Uttarakhand. The actor went for street shopping at the local market of the small town and enjoyed every bit of it.
Sushant along with director Abhishek Kapoor and costume designer Shruti Kapoor visited a local market in Sitapur only to finalise his wardrobe. Sharing more details about the visit, Shruti says, “We wanted to buy some outfits for Sushant. Since he plays a local boy who hails from the small town we thought of buying something for him from the local market to make his look authentic.”
She further adds, “Sushant walked through the market and was excitedly looking out for t-shirts and track pants. We picked up a beautiful bomber jacket from Guptkashi that had the logo of Adidas all over it. We also bought a t-shirt that had Nike written across for dirt cheap rate. These were all fake branded t-shirts, but the colours and textures were so beautiful that we bought it in plentiful for Sushant to wear in the film.”
Shruti says that shopping at the local market did not cause any ruckus as the locals there could not recognize Sushant. “Those people are a lot busy in their own life. They couldn’t figure that an actor is shopping amidst them,” she says.
Co-starring Sara Ali Khan, the film depicts the journey of Sushant and Sara’s characters in Kedarnath as they struggle through the flash flood that occurred in 2013.
