SRK makes cameo in Marshmello’s first Hindi track ‘Biba’ featuring Shirley Setia and Pritam

Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan has done a cameo in DJ Marshmello recently released video Biba featuring Shirley Setia and Pritam. It’s not just the special appearance made by the Zero actor that makes it a worthy watch, the video in itself draws references to some of SRK’s most iconic performances.

While the video starts with the DJ making an entry to an apparent film premier show wearing his signature headgear, he can then be seen imagining himself as Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge‘s Raj playing the guitar
in a flower field. And a Simran, with a similar custom helmet, can also be seen running towards him, but the scene has been comically recreated as Simran stumbles before making it to Raj’s arms.

Scenes from SRK’s other films like Devdas, Dil Se, Mohabattein, and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai are also recreated with a tinge of comedy as the foot-tapping number plays along in the background.

Then we see shots of a red carpet, where Pritam who co-composed the song makes his appearance for photos. Then Marshmello greets another man, also wearing the headgear. When this man takes the headgear off we see Shah Rukh Khan, who then looks into the camera and says, “Marshmello. Naam toh suna hoga?” replicating his famous dialogue, “Raj. Naam toh suna hoga?”

Speaking about Biba and his love for India, Marshmello told the Indian Express, “India is so special to me. This is my third time here and I love it even more each time I come back. That’s why I wanted to make this trip even more special and give my fans here their own anthem. It was great to work with Pritam over the last few months and give the Mellogang Biba.”

Crooned by powerful singers Pradeep Singh Sran and Dev Neg, Biba’s video is a tribute to songs featuring SRK in Bollywood, and is Marshmello’s first Hindi track. The DJ is currently touring India as part of the Vh1 Supersonic festival.

For the uninitiated, Marshmello (Christopher Comstock), is an American electronic music producer and DJ. He shot to fame with his first release of remixes of songs by Jack Ü and Zedd. He is best known for the songs “Silence”, “Wolves”, “Friends” and “Happier”, all of which have been certified multi-platinum in many countries and appeared in the Top 30 of the Billboard Hot 100.
