Shocked to see Vipul Shah’s name crop up in #MeToo: Gulshan Devaiah

Mumbai: Gulshan Devaiah who is playing the negative lead in Commando 3 says that he was shocked to see Vipul Shah being accused by an actress in the ongoing #MeToo movement. Vipul is one of the big names to have been exposed after Sacred Games actress Elnaaz Norouzi alleged that she was molested by Vipul during the auditions of Namaste England.

Speaking To Dainik Bhaskar, Gulshan said, “I was shocked to read about Vipul. In fact, all the names that have cropped up are shocking, some of whom I know better than Mr Shah. He had personally called me and wanted me to do the role in Commando 3. So I was a bit taken aback to see his name. Your first thought at such times is whether your film will be affected or not. And then you calm down and say to yourself that whatever has to happen will happen.”

Gulshan also stated that Vipul has the right to defend himself. “He is an accused right now. Someone has accused him. Every accused has the right to defend himself. I don’t know what more to say. If someone who is accused has done something wrong, they will have to face the consequences. If not, they can defend and prove themselves innocent.”
