‘Shivraj Mama better than Kamal Nath Kaka’: Children in MP’s Hoshangabad village protest for school supplies

Hoshangabad: School children at a village in MP’s Hoshangabad district are opposing the supply of only one set of school uniform for Rs 600. The uniform set contains a half pant instead of a full pant.

Children of village Kakri staged demonstration holding banners and placards that said ‘Shivraj Mama is better than Kamal Nath Kaka.’

The children implied the former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan was better than the present CM Kamal Nath. They said that during the tenure of previous BJP government in the state led by CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, children used to get two sets of uniforms for only Rs 400. But now we are getting only one set of uniform for Rs 600 and that too contains a half pant instead of a full pant, they said.

DPC SS Patel said there is a provision to provide two sets of school uniforms to children of class-1 to 5 for Rs 600. Hoshangabad collector Ashish Saxena said a meeting would be convened to provide full pant to the children.
