Serena scouts out motherhood stories on Twitter

New Delhi: Tennis star Serena Williams shared a picture of herself with her 11-month-old daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr on Twitter. In the caption of the picture, Williams shared an anecdote from when she was travelling with Alexis on a plane. She also encouraged women to share stories of their own experiences of motherhood using #ThisMama.

In a tweet posted about 10 hours ago, the 23-time Grand Slam winner recounted a hilarious incident with her daughter, Olympia, before asking her Twitter followers to share their own memories of motherhood.

“The other day on a flight home Olympia insisted on running up and down the aisle and when I finally got her to sit still, she threw up all over me,” she wrote, sharing a picture of the two of them together. “#ThisMama would love to hear your stories of motherhood.. even ones like this!” Serena added.

The Tennis star has often spoken in the past about the beauty as well as the struggles of motherhood. Now, she is asking mums of Twitter to share their own stories of motherhood with the world.

The tweet got over 21,000 likes and has collected thousands of responses. Many on Twitter have shared their own stories of motherhood, using the hashtag “This Mama.”
