Mumbai: Abhishek Kapoor is launching Sara Ali Khan in Kedarnath, which is set to release on December 7. The actress will have two back-to-back realeses — Kedarnath and Simmba releasing in same month.
About her debut film she says, “There is a pressure, of course, because two of my films are releasing. People say it is easier for us to get work, to some extent it is easy because I got a chance to work with Abhishek Kapoor and Rohit Shetty in the beginning of the career. But there are pros and cons of everything.”
Incidentally, Abhishek had approached Sara’s relative Sandeep Khosla first. Abhishek says, “I had spoken to Sandeep and he arranged my meeting with Sara.” To which Sara adds, “Yes, my mom and I had a narration at Sandeep’s house and we liked the story. We had goosebumps and tears in our eyes. So, I decided to do it. ”
Sara says that she takes guidance from her mother. “Whatever questions I have about the industry I asked my mother about it because I stay with her and she decides everything about what I should wear and where I should go. My father had always told me to complete study before taking up this career, which I did.”
Talking about being compared to Janhavi Kapoor, she says, “There is no competition as such. I have seen Dhadak and I liked her work. If people like my work which I hope they do, then we will see, but no one should compare us.”
Sara further says that she would want to imbibe Kareena Kapoor Khan’s professionalism in her career in the future.
