Mumbai: Sanjay Dutt and Tigmanshu Dhulia collaborated for Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 which also starred Chitrangada Singh, Jimmy Shergil and Mahie Gill. The film released in July but could not do too well at box office.
The actor who was apparently set to do another project with Tigmanshu, has decided to opt out of it.
“Sanjay and Tigmanshu bonded well during the shoot of their film. They used to often sit and have a long conversation post wrapping up their work on the sets. During such discussions, Tigmanshu spoke to Sanjay about one of his upcoming films. He shared the basic concept and Dutt liked it too. However, now he isn’t interested in doing the film anymore,” says a source.
The basic reason for Dutt to leave the film is said to be because Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 failure at the box office. The film apparently could not recover money and the actor was not too please with it.
In fact, there were rumours that Dutt may have not participated in promotions since he did not like the way the film shaped up. So even though initially he liked this script which Tigmanshu offered him, he changed his mind to about the film later. Tigmanshu, however, denied the buzz.
On the work front, Sanjay Dutt is currently busy shooting for his home production Prasthanam and will begin work on Panipath and Shamshera.
