Sanjay Dutt shares poster of his first Marathi production ‘Baba’, dedicated film to his late father Sunil Dutt

Mumbai: Actor Sanjay Dutt took to social media to share a poster of his first Marathi production ‘Baba’. Dutt is venturing into Marathi cinema as a producer with this film and has dedicated it to his late father and veteran actor Sunil Dutt.

The film is directed by first-time filmmaker Raj Gupta and it marks the Marathi film debut of known Hindi character actor Deepak Dobriyal.

“Dedicating our first Marathi film ‘Baba’ to the person who remained staunch in my life through everything! Love you dad,” Sanjay captioned the poster. The motion poster gives off a pleasant feeling. It shows the image of a rural boy sitting on a bicycle with his father cycling through the fields.

‘Baba’ features Deepak Dobriyal, Nandita Dhuri Patkar and child artiste Aaryan Menghji in the pivotal roles.

Dutt’s wife Manyata also shared the poster with a note saying, “Dedicating our 1st Marathi film “BABA” to the one & only Sunil Dutt sahab, whose rock solid support always enhanced our confidence!”

The film is co-produced under Sanjay’s banner Sanjay S Dutt Productions, along with Blue Mustang Creations. Directed by Raj R Gupta, “Baba” is scheduled for release on August 2.
