New Delhi: One of Bollywood’s biggest stars, Salman Khan, came up with a treat for his fans this Eid. His latest blockbuster Race 3 released last Friday, and it bagged a whopping Rs 100 crores in the first weekend itself. Salman has a big fan base and there are various movies from ‘Bhaijaan’ in the Rs 100 cr club.
Race 3, is quickly moving up the list of all-time highest grossing movie charts, which already has blockbusters like Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Sultan. Here, we take a look at Salman Khan’s top 10 highest grossing movies of all time.
1) Tiger Zinda Hai
Release in 2017, Tiger Zinda Hai was the sequel to Salman’s Ek Tha Tiger. The movie surpassed all expectations and was received very well by the audiences. Tiger Zinda Hai has earned a mammoth Rs 339.16 crores since its release.
2) Bajrangi Bhaijaan
Bajrangi Bhaijaan melted hearts in both India and Pakistan. The movie featured young Harshaali Malhotra who was adored for her role as Munni. Since hitting the theatres in 2015 it has collected approximately Rs 320.34 crores.
Sultan was by far one of Salman’s best performances on screen, in the recent years. Depicting the life of a retired wrestlerSultan, Salman was able to thrill audiences of all age groups with this movie. At the box office, Sultan posted earnings around Rs 300.45 crores.
Salman’s Kick hit the theatres in 2014 and was the highest earning movie of that time with a collection of well over 233 crores. Kick was a superhero film, revolving around the life of Devi Lal Singh, received mixed reviews from audiences.
5) Prem Ratan Dhan Payo
Starring the likes of Sonam Kapoor and Neil Nitin Mukesh, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo hit the box office in 2015. The movie was a family drama, and it did well among the audiences, collecting Rs 207.40 crores since.
6) Ek Tha Tiger
Ek Tha Tiger featured Salman Khan opposite Katrina Kaif, and the pair did really well together. Being the prequel to Tiger Zinda Hai, this movie was a big hit and thus posted a total earning of 198 crores.
7) Dabangg 2
The second instalment of movie Dabangg, Dabangg 2 was released in 2010. The movie was based on the highly popular character of a cop, Chulbul Pandey. Dabangg 2 bagged Rs 158.50 crores ever since.
Starring Kareena Kapoor alongside Bhaijaan, Bodyguard, released in 2011. The movie had a total box office collection of Rs 142 crores. Bodyguard was very well popular among the audiences and received good reviews overall.
Released in 2010, Dabangg was an instant success. The movie featured Salman in the role of Chulbul Pandey for the first time, which a supremely hit character among fans. Dabangg collected 138.88 crores since its release.
Tubelight was released last year, but it wasn’t a fan favourite film. The movie received mixed reviews and featured Sohail Khan alongside Salman. Tubelight struggled at the box office and managed just Rs 121 crores.
