Salman Khan has decided to take on Ranbir Kapoor two times in a row. The actor is about to start shooting for third film in his cop drama Dabangg from next month onwards. In a recent media interaction, he confirmed that he plans to release the film around Christmas this year. The buzz suggests that Salman was to release his film on his birthday that is December 27 but may release it prior to that.
On the other hand, Karan Johar too has decided to block this date for release first part of Ayan Mukerji’s trilogy Brahmastra. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, Dimple Kapadia,Nagarjuna and others. Ayan’s film was to release on Independence Day but has been pushed ahead so that he can finish the heavy post production work on the film.
While Salman seems not in mood to shift his release date of Dabangg, he is in fact all set to have a box office clash with the actor next year as well. Salman is collaborating with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Inshallah which he has stated that they plan to release it on Eid 2020. Incidentally, Ranbir Kapoor’s dacoit drama Shamshera too is slated to release on same date that is July 31,2020. The festival of Eid is expected to be celebrated around that time. So, if none of the the makers change their dates, then Salman will have clash with Ranbir twice in a row. Interestingly, Inshallah will star Ranbir Kapoor’s alleged girlfriend and Brahmastra co-star Alia Bhatt.
Salman and Ranbir have never known to be best of friends as after parting ways with Salman, Katrina Kaif was said to have started dating Ranbir Kapoor and the actors were apparently did not get along.
Apart from this Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi and S.S Rajamouli’s RRR too are expected to release around Eid next year.
