New Delhi: It seems, Salman Khan can’t stay away from controversies or legal issues. It has been just a couple of months since Salman Khan got bail in the 1998 Blackbuck poaching case and now Salman has once again got entangled in another legal scenario.
The actor, who was accused of killing the endangered species was found guilty and sentenced to five years imprisonment at the Jodhpur Central Jail. The actor ended up spending two nights in jail before he got out on bail.
This new case is about a land dispute between Salman and an NRI couple, according to a report in Times of India. The couple, Ketan and Ankita Kakkad, have allegedly accused the Race 3 star for barring them from getting electricity from his property which the couple claims is rightfully theirs.
In order to combat this injustice, the couple held a press conference in which they narrated the entire scenario to the media and shared documents and details of the case. They also revealed that they were refused entry into Salman Khan’s property.
Salman Khan’s lawyer stated that there is nothing illegal in this dispute and the accusers are blowing things out of proportion because Salman’s name is involved and he is a Bollywood superstar. Also, Forest Minister, Sudhir Mungantiwar refuted the Kakkad’s advocate Abha Singh’s claims by saying that nobody is above the law and all the allegations against Salman Khan and the Arpita Farms staff are cooked up and baseless.
On the work front, Salman is busy with his Da-Bangg Tour Reloaded, performing in parts of the US and Canada with Bollywood divas Katrina Kaif, Sonakshi Sinha, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah and others.
