Talking about his preparation, the director of the film Gauravv K Chawla said, “We used to send him voice notes of the dialogues and how to get the pronunciations right. He would hear and practice it. He was so good with this that he would come on the sets well prepared. He would have the heavy monologues learnt by heart.”

Gauravv said that Saif would keep listening to the voice notes even when he would be at the gym and walking the treadmill. Not only this, he would involve his family members while leaning Gujarati. “In his introduction scene, you will see Saif reciting a Gujarati nursery rhyme, which is – Ramakda ni gaadi aavi, su su laavi? One day he was with Taimur and he started reciting the rhyme to him (laughs). Taimur was just looking at him. I am sure he would be wondering what happened to daddy today?”

Saif who remembered the incident was quick to add, “A surprised Kareena (Kapoor Khan) was staring at me wondering if I was okay (laughs).”

Baazaar is all set to release on October 26, 2018.
