Rohit Shetty may avert box office clash with Salman Khan

Rohit Shetty has started shooting for his next cop drama Sooryavanshi with Akshay Kumar. The director recently released a poster of the film and announced that it will release on Eid next year. However, according to latest buzz, he is likely to change the release date of his film.

A source says,” Rohit’s film went on floor last month and he immediately chose to block the date for next year. But later Salman Khan, who always prefers to release his films on Eid,decided to release his film Inshallah on same day. Now, Rohit is not too keen to have a box office clash,so he and his team is checking various dates and see if they can shift this film to other date.”

Rohit has done this in the past when his film Golmaal Again was to release with Rajnikanth’s 2.0 and his last hit Simmba was also going to clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero last year.

Meanwhile, if Rohit releases his film on Eid, it will not only clash with Inshallah but also with Ranbir Kapoor’s Shamshera and S .S Rajamouli’s RRR.
