Mumbai: Bollywood has seen a lack of female-centric films. In a scenario like this, Shashanka Ghosh’s chick flick Veere Di Wedding proved to be a record breaker. The film reportedly became the third highest opening Bollywood film of the year. While it is still running at theatres, news is that the makers are already planning a sequel.
Confirming the same, director Shashanka Ghosh says, “Rhea is starting work on that, I think.” When quizzed the director if he will be helming the sequel as well and he replies, “I am sure Rhea Kapoor will consider me.”
When Rhea was contacted for a confirmation, she refrained from sharing her response. Meanwhile, co-producer Nikhil Dwivedi said, “I have no clue (about the sequel). It’s a bit too early for that.”
The all-female lead film starred Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania. Now it remains to be seen if all the four actors will be a part of the sequel too.
