Recognition of Bhopal school may be cancelled for forcing student to stand during exam

Bhopal: Following the directives of Madhya Pradesh chief minister Kamal Nath, the report of probe into forcing a Class-9 girl student of Saraswati Co-ed Higher Secondary School to stand during examination has been handed over to the collector Bhopal by the district education officer. The student was reportedly singled out for non-payment of fess.

School grant may be stopped

Recommendation has been made in the report to stop grant being given to school and admission of affected student to another school as per her wish besides cancellation school’s recognition.

After the chief minister’s order, the district education officer has probed into the entire case. The principal had ordered to keep the girl standing while she wrote the exam and she was tortured for two days like this.

Later the girl’s father talked with school principal Ajay Khade. Initially he denied that the girl was forced to stand during the exam but later a teacher of the school admitted that the punishment was meted out to the girl.
