Ravindra Jadeja’s wife assaulted by police constable in Jamnagar

New Delhi: Cricket all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja’s wife Riva Solanki was allegedly attacked by a police constable in Jamnagar on Monday.

According to reports, Riva car hit the bike of the cop accidentally. The policeman allegedly got down from the bike and physically assaulted the lady. An eye witness told India TV that even though it was a minor accident, the policeman was aggressive and slapped the lady.

The police constable has been identified as Sanjay Ahir, was arrested after Riva filed a complaint against him at a local police station.

“The policeman physically assaulted Riva after her car hit his motorbike. We are providing all possible help to her and will take strict action against the policeman,” said Jamnagar district Superintendent of Police Pradeep Sejul.

Jadeja currently plays for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League. CSK will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday in Qualifier 1 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
