Ranbir Kapoor to work with Farhan Akhtar next

Mumbai: Ranbir Kapoor has returned to India from New York a few days back where his father Rishi Kapoor is being treated for an unknown illness. The actor has not resumed work post his comeback but he has been meeting people for future projects. Just a couple of days ago, he was spotted visiting Farhan Akhtar, and if sources are to believed the actor might work with Farhan soon.

“Farhan and Ranbir have never really worked together but they share a good equation. In the recent meeting, the duo discussed work and some projects too but they are yet to decide on which film they will do. Things are at an initial stage, so once everything gets confirmed, there will be an official announcement.”

Meanwhile, buzz suggests Farhan who has been willing to start work on his hit franchise, Don‘s third part, might have Ranbir playing the lead. There have been many speculations suggesting that unlike previous two parts the third film might not feature Shah Rukh Khan in the titular role. However, neither Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani have spoken about it. So far they have maintained that the third film will happen once they get the right script.

It was earlier reported that Ranveer Singh who has and is working with Zoya Akhtar might play Don in the film. Incidentally, Zoya had offered Ranbir to play Ranveer’s role in Dil Dhadakne Do along with Kareena Kapoor Khan but later Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer stepped into the film to play brother and sister.
