New Delhi: Ranbir Kapoor riding high on his latest film Sanju‘s success recently opened up about his “mistakes”. Having earned Rs 145.41 crore in four days, the film is currently smashing records and creating history in the box-office.
“I have tried drugs when I was in college and got into bad influence. But I realised that nothing will happen in life if I continue with drugs,” Ranbir said.
He also said that Sanju is a lesson for youngsters that “five minutes of ecstasy can destroy your entire life”.
“Every man makes mistakes in his life. I am addicted to nicotine now and it’s worse than drugs. And I have addiction for sweets as well,” he told Deccan Chronicle.
The film directed by Rajkumar Hirani traces Sanjay Dutt’s life, from being an actor, his drug addiction, to his time at the Yerawada jail for being a suspect of the 1993 Mumbai blasts.
On the work front, Ranbir will be seen in Brahmastra with his ladylove Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan; in Shamshera with Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor; and in filmmaker Luv Ranjan’s untitled next with Ajay Devgn.
