Bhopal: A two-day Prerna Utsav is being organized in the memory of the late Rameshchandra Agarwal, chairman of Dainik Bhaskar Group on his 75th birthday. A book written on the biography of Rameshji was released on Saturday by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath, former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and India TV editor-in-chief Rajat Sharma.
At the release ceremony held at The Sanskar Valley School, Chief Minister Kamal Nath said, “Rameshji has branded not only Dainik Bhaskar but the entire Madhya Pradesh. His life has been inspiring. I had a long association with Rameshji. His vision for Madhya Pradesh was devoted to development.”
“Rameshji was a very humble, gentle and most like-minded man,” said Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Bharti Pradhan is the author of the book ‘Ramesh Chandra Agrawal: Dainik Bhaskar kay Shilpkar ki Gatha’.
An evening of poems: A programme based on recitation of poems was held on Saturday evening from 8 pm on Muktakash Manch of Ravindra Bhavan. In this, Kumar Vishwas, Sunil Jogi, Shakeel Azmi and well-known poets of the country will present poems.
Javed Akhtar will come on Sunday: On December 1, on the second day of the Prerna Utsav, lyricist Javed Akhtar will illuminate the evening with his chosen poems and nazms. The program, titled ‘Main Koi Aisa Geet Gaon‘, will be held on the Muktakash Manch of Ravindra Bhavan from 6.30 pm.
Blood donation and painting competition on Inspiration Day: Under the Prerna Utsav, Dainik Bhaskar on Saturday organized blood donation camps, Prerna Awards and painting contests at its campuses in different cities across the country.
Blood donation: Blood donation camp has been organized by Ramesh & Sharda Aggarwal Foundation at more than 250 places.
Prerna Awards: Prerna Awards based on Ramesh’s values are being given to the associates of the institute. The award will be given for their remarkable contribution in the fields of simplicity, humanity, public relations and business in the interest of society.
Painting: Rameshji is also being remembered through children’s expression. On this occasion, a painting competition has been organized for the children of the colleagues of the institute. In it, paintings are being made by children on subjects like nature, climate change, my family and cultural heritage. These paintings will be carded and used on various occasions. Some good paintings will also be installed in the office.
Daan Utsav: Earlier, Dan Utsav programs were organized in 11 states from November 21 to 28. Under this, garments, food items, stationery, electronic and other useful items have been collected. The donation material is being distributed in select orphanages and old age homes on Saturday.
