New Delhi: Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday attacked the BJP-led NDA government and called Prime Minister Narendra Modi an “autocratic, incompetent and arrogant driver, who does not care what happens to the passengers he is responsible for”.
Speaking at the Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) meeting, Rahul claimed that Modi, after getting elected as PM in 2014, had said India had been a slow “passenger train” for 70 years after Independence and now under his guidance and rule the country would become a sleek and shining “magical train” which was destined for “Achhe Din”.
“Four years of Modi rule later, sadly, India today looks more like a train that is being driven to disaster by an autocratic, incompetent and arrogant driver, who does not care what happens to the passengers he is responsible for,” he said.
RaGa attacks government on Rafale deal
Rahul Gandhi also repeated his charges on the Rafale deal and labelled it as a ‘corruption of the century’. Congress president alleged that ‘minions’ of the ‘Supreme Leader’ were trying to silence those reporting on the Rafale scam and threats, blackouts, sackings and advertising cuts were taking place to prevent the truth from being told.
