Ragged for 6 hours: Rajasthan nursing college students strip, force liquor down juniors’ throat, 3 held

Udaipur: Four nursing college students in Udaipur have been rusticated for six months for ragging juniors for nearly six hours.

Senior students of RNT Medical College stripped four juniors, forced them to consume liquor and made them squat by looping the arms from behind the knees and firmly holding the ears.

3 senior students arrested, one absconding

The victims lodged a complaint with the police on Wednesday morning. Three second year students, including Giriraj Chhangani, Mohit Kumavat and Udit Kumar Garg, were arrested, while a third year student, Sunil Sharma, was absconding.

Dr AK Verma, additional principal of the medical college, said that the four accused students have been expelled from the college for six months. Each student has also been imposed a fine of Rs 25,000. Investigation officer ASI Arjun Singh said that the victims, first year students of the college, told the police that the accused students took them to Mohit’s rented accomodation on February 11 at around 6.30 pm and ragged them till 12.30 am.

College principal Vijayamma Ajmera said that the college committee investigated the case and the accused students were expelled.
