Mumbai: The sangeet ceremony of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas commenced on the evening of Friday at Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur in Rajasthan. The event was themed on the National bird of India — peacock, with the shades of black and gold.
The décor of the venue looked spectacular what with the garden area being decorated in emerald green and blue faux peacock feathers. The venue was lit up with golden lights and the tables were set with dark linen that matched the glistening center pieces.
The guests attending the event were greeted at the reception area and were escorted till the venue by Kalbeliya dancers. The attendants dressed up in Rajasthani attire holding flambeaus welcomed the guests.
The event began with a performance by a Punjabi band post with VJ Anusha Dandekar and a friend from Nick’s side took over as hosts. The ceremony was choreographed by Bollywood’s popular choreographer Ganesh Hegde. Singing sensation Manasi Scott too performed at the event.
Very soon, the guests took over the dance floor as they shook a leg on romantic numbers from Beauty And The Beast, Titanic to Galla Goodiyaan from Dil Dhadakne Do. Between all the song and dance a slideshow was played using a projector featuring childhood pictures of Nick and Priyanka.
