Now, London’s Madame Tussauds to install Ramdev’s wax statue

Yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Monday spilled the beans about the unveiling of his wax statue and said that it will be installed soon at the Madame Tussauds museum of London.

Ramdev took to Twitter and made this announcement.

SK Tijarawala, a spokesperson for Patanjali, said that Ramdev received the proposal almost two months back, and after much persuasion, decided to accept it.

Baba Ramdev said, “Yogis’ scientific, secular, and universal knowledge should be promoted. With this in mind, I have accepted the proposal to get a lookalike wax statue at the museum.”

He said his statue at the famous museum will “motivate” people across the globe to adopt a Yogic lifestyle.

Madame Tussauds London already has wax figures of Indian personalities like Amitabh Bachchan, Sachin Tendulkar, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and others.

Last year, it opened a branch in Connaught Place in Central Delhi. The museum in Delhi has wax figures of famous personalities including actors from Hollywood and Bollywood.

Apart from them, the museum also showcases statues of famous music artists and renowned politicians.

After Swami Vivekanand, Ramdev will be the second swami to be depicted at the museum.
