Mumbai: The CBFC has raised objections to the usuage of three scenes and two dialogues in Bal Thackeray’s biopic starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The scenes include one involving the demolition of Babri Masjid and another one being the alleged usage of inflammatory dialogues against the south Indian community.
However, Uddhav Thackeray and Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut appeared unfazed and said that no one can stop the Thackerays.
Speaking about objections raised by CBFC, Uddhav said, “Whatever has happened has happened. We will not hide anything. We will show things just the way they are.”
Meanwhile, Sanjay Raut, Shiv Sena MP whose production house is presenting the film said that even when Balasaheb Thackeray was alive no one could stop him and nor can anyone stop him now, “Balasaheb ko uss din bhi koi nahi roka aur aaj bhi koi rokega nahi.”
Raut also said that there is no question of the film being banned because it is not a work of fiction but a true account of a legendary figure.
Meanwhile, the makers showed an uncut version of the trailer at the launch that did have references to the Babri Masjid.
