Netflix to go ahead with second season of ‘Sacred Games’

Mumbai: There have been many speculations about Sacred Games‘ second season after Anurag Kashyap, Vikramadtiya Motwane, and Madhu Matena decided to dissolve their production house Phantom Films.

The online platform was in discussion with makers whether to go ahead with the second season after another member of the crew, Varun Grover, was accused of sexual harassment — the first being co-owner of Phantom films and Queen director Vikas Bahl.

Initially, they stated that they will evaluate the situation and then decide about the next season. After doing the investigation the platform has issued a new statement informing that they will continue to work with Anurag and Vikramaditya.

We continue to collaborate with our production partners to ensure and maintain a safe and respectful working environment.”

The first season starred Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Radhika Apte and others and it went on to become a hit. The first season was directed by Vikramaditya and Anurag. The second season will be directed by Neeraj Ghaywan and Anurag Kashyap.
