‘Muskaan’s’ new promo delayed due to #MeToo movement

The channel has decided to hold this new track since it might go against the current movement.

In the last few days, several popular Bollywood voices have spoken up about sexual harassment in the entertainment industry. And with this, one cannot deny the fact that the current #MeToo movement has managed to create an impact in the industry. However, this has led to the delay of new promo of serial, Muskaan.

Apparently, the makers of the show were supposed to introduce a new promo where actress Yesha Rughani, who plays the title role, was to be auctioned. The entire concept of the promo revolved around human trafficking and very soon, the makers were supposed to introduce new track. However, the channel has decided to hold this new track since it might go against the current movement.

“The makers had already shot the new promo and it was supposed to be launched this week. But the channel has decided to not go ahead with it since they fear that it might create an issue because of the content of the show. Also, the creative team has been asked to make few changes in the script. Since the concept is hard-hitting, they don’t want any kind of trouble,” a source said.
