Munich Conference/ S Jaishankar’s reply to America on Kashmir – A country will solve the issue well, you know that country’

Munich: Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar gave a befitting reply to the US at the Munich Security Conference held in Germany. On US Senator Lindsay Graham expressing concern over the situation in Kashmir, Jaishankar said, “Don’t worry. A democracy (India) will sort it out and you know which country it is?”

Earlier, Graham had said, “After returning from Kashmir, I could not understand when the ongoing lockdown would end. Both countries (India and Pakistan) have to assure that the issue will be resolved soon. “

Jaishankar said, “The United Nations is now less reliable than its history. Its diminishing reliability does not surprise you. The organization no longer has the things it had 75 years ago. Clearly, a lot more needs to be done to change this situation. ”

He also said, “There are many countries where there is more emphasis on nationalism. In some cases, nationalism is more vulnerable. The fact is that a nation that looks more nationalistic is less multilateral.”

Nationalism Approved at Large Scale’: On the question of nationalism, he said, “There is no question that nationalism is dominating the world. Many countries of the world including America, China have stressed this. Obviously, nationalism has been accepted on a large scale.”
