MP coronavirus cases updates/ 14 cases of COVID-19 in state; 4 fresh cases in Indore and one in Ujjain

  • 4 people in Indore including 3 members of the same family who have returned from Rishikesh found positive

Indore: After Jabalpur, Bhopal, Gwalior, and Shivpuri in, coronavirus infected patients have also been found in Indore and Ujjain on Wednesday. With this, the number of districts in Madhya Pradesh where positive cases have been detected has risen to six.

Of the 4 positive patients found in Indore, 3 belong to the same family. One of them had returned from Rishikesh recently. They have been admitted to the Bombay Hospital, Arihant Hospital and MY Hospital in Indore.

In Ujjain, the report of a woman admitted for 4 days has come positive. With this, the number of corona positive patients in the state has increased to 14. So far 6 positive patients have been found in Jabalpur, four in Indore and one each in Bhopal, Gwalior, Shivpuri and Ujjain.

According to the health department, 21 samples were sent for examination on Tuesday. Of these, there are 13 samples from Indore and 8 from the surrounding districts. They were examined in the virology lab of MGM Medical College. A total of 222 people have been home quarantined in Indore. At the same time, 162 people have recovered.

600 beds reserved in Hamidia Hospital: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed the top officials to closely examine all such national parks, tourist areas from where foreign guests have returned. He asked officials to use the medical staff available in private hospitals. On the other hand, the administration has ordered the Hamidia Hospital in Bhopal to be evacuated. 600 beds have been reserved for corona patients at Hamidia. There are still patients on the other 200 beds, who will be shifted elsewhere in two days. Apart from this, hospitals connected to Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Sagar and Rewa Medical Colleges will be made epidemic treatment centers.

Unit of five specialist doctors will be on week-long duty: Hamidia Hospital Superintendent Dr. AK Srivastava informed that three units have been formed to treat corona patients. Pulmonologist, Medicine, Paediatric, ENT and Anesthesia specialist doctors will be on duty in each unit. Doctors doing duty in the unit will treat patients for a week. They will be sent to the Quarantine Center for 14 days after one week of duty. This is because the doctors, paramedical, nursing staff who treat the patient are at the highest risk of infection while treating the patients.
