Mouni Roy relieved as ‘Brahmastra’ release date is pushed ahead

Mumbai: Mouni Roy made her big screen debut a few months ago in Gold, which starred Akshay Kumar. The film did average business at the box office. However, Mouni already has three films in her kitty, out of which two were to release on the same day next year. But since her film Brahmastra has been pushed ahead, she is feeling a bit relaxed.

A source says, “In Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Brahmastra, Mouni plays a negative role. It is one of the big releases for her and she was quite hopeful about it. But when she realised that her other film Made in China with Rajkummar Rao too was releasing on the same day on August 18 next year, she was a bit nervous as she would have been required to promote both films at the same time. Now, since Brahmastra has been pushed to Christmas next year she will be able to promote one film at a time.”

Apart from these two films, Mouni will also be seen with John Abraham in Romeo Akbar Walter, which she has almost finished shooting. This film too is expected to release next year.
