Mohit Raina injures eye while shooting for his Bollywood debut ‘Uri’, gets 7-8 stitches

Mumbai: Actor Mohit Raina, popular for his role of Mahadev in serial ‘Devon Ke Dev Mahadev’ got injured while shooting for his upcoming film, Uri – The Surgical Strike in Lucknow. Apparently, the actor was shooting for an action sequence in Malihabad and while rehearsing a few stunts with the stuntman; his left eyes got injured. He was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital.

Confirming the same to us, Mohit Raina said, “It was a small mishap while working on the sets of my next project. I was in Lucknow shooting an action sequence and while doing that I injured my left eye badly. The injury was so bad that the team had to take me to a hospital immediately. I got admitted for a day and have got 7-8 stitches which should be cut in two days. Hopefully, I should be fine soon.”

Mohit Raina is all set to make his Bollywood debut with Aditya Dhar’s upcoming film, Uri. The film also stars Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam, Kirti Kulhari and Paresh Rawal.

In the film, that is based on the real life attack on Indian military base in Uri, Kashmir, that killed 19 Indian soldiers in 2016, Mohit will play an army officer. The movie is likely to trace the events that followed the attack and build up to the surgical strike launched by India days later.
