Modi can spew up to 200 words a minute; Rahul can manage just 140

Jaipur: Tongue is one of the key weapons for wooing voters and lashing out at your opponents. And if the speed at which you do so is a measure of your effectiveness, Prime Minister Modi is far ahead of others.

During campaigning for Assembly polls in Rajasthan, all top leaders addressed a series of public in the state, giving Bhaskar an opportunity to measure the speed of their speech delivery.

Modi’s normal speed of delivering speeches is 96 to 110 words per minute but when he is an aggressive mood, he can speak out some 180-200 words a minute. A bullet train, by all means.

Rahul is slow

Rahul Gandhi’s maximum speed is 140 words per minute, less that even Vasundhara Raje Scindia and Sachin Pilot, who can lash out at their opponents at the speed of 140-165 words a minute.

Yogi Adityanath normally speaks at the rate of 135-150 words a minute but when the topic is Ram Temple, his speed may go up to 170 words. Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot can speak out around 165 words a minute when the topic is metro or refinery.
