Baahubali: The Beginning-fame Tamannaah Bhatia feels #MeToo is not just a Bollywood problem as sexual harrassment exixts in every workplace. The actress feels it gets highlighted more in the film industry as spotlight is greater here.
“#MeToo is not just a bollywood problem. It is a universal probelm. It is easier to pin point at film personalities because everyone knows them. It is much easier to do that here. But this movement should be given its due respect and not to be used as a PR ploy or else it will lose its gravity. It is very important for every industry to have this #MeToo movement,” she said
Tamannaah also feels that it is important to maintain respect towards the accused until the crime that he is accused of is not proved beyond reasonable doubts. “People need to respect even the accused. Till nothing is proved that respect has to be maintained. Also what the Me Too movement has done is that it has established an awareness and fear about the fact that when people offend others it will not go down well.”
On the work front, Tamannaah is currently busy promoting her Telugu film F2, which is a comedy and fun family film.
