Madhya Pradesh: Three children in Indore get trapped inside a car, die of heat and suffocation

Indore: In a tragic incident, three children died of suffocation after getting stuck in a car in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore on Friday, police said.

The tragedy occurred at Sanver Nagar, Indore. The children’s mother Pushpa had sent her three kids at 8 am to the nearby Anganwadi centre.

But instead of going to the Anganwadi, the children apparently started playing in a junk car parked nearby in the colony.

When the kids did not return by 10 am, Pushpa became worried. Subsequently, a search for the kids was launched. The kids were later found unconscious inside the junk car.

The siblings were identified as Poonam (6), Bulbul (4) and Pratik (3), an official of Sanver police station informed.

The official said that the children saw the car parked at a vacant plot near their house with its doors open and got inside.

They apparently shut the doors of the car and were unable to open them again, the official added.

Later the children were found lying unconscious inside the car, at least three hours after they got trapped inside.

The children were taken to a hospital but were declared brought dead. Police said that further probe in the matter was underway. A case against the car owner could be registered after investigations.
