Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has appealed the citizens to cooperate with the call of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for the countrywide lockdown of 21 days. He told the citizens that the government is responsible to ensure the supply of essential commodities during these 21 days. Shops of daily needs like milk, fruits, vegetables, grocery and medicines etc. will remain open and supply of all the necessary items will be ensured. While keeping in view the gravity of the pandemic, Shri Chouhan has urged the citizens that there is no need to panic.

Vidhan Sabha session not to be held for budget; Ordinance to be brought for funds: Chouhan has welcomed the decision of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the 21 days lockdown to save the entire country from virus. He said that this difficult time is the time for all the citizens for prayers and penance. Deliberating with media, Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh government will not leave any stone unturned from its side. It is most necessary that we all should together break the chain of coronavirus infection.

Chouhan said that the government has taken a decision that no budget session will be held in the Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha. The government will arrange the fund for four months by bringing an ordinance. He has appealed to all the Members of Legislative Assembly and People’s Representatives to remain wherever they are. To confine themselves in their houses and educate people of their respective areas by using communication means like phones.

The CM mentioned that we all should dedicate ourselves to the cause on the call of the Prime Minister so that we can save our state. He further stated that strict action will be taken wherever necessary. Shri Chouhan said that we are not only putting our lives in danger but we will also put the life of our entire family in danger if we violate the decision. He said that no citizen has the right to put his/her family’s life in danger.

The CM said the public representatives should assure that although there is a crisis, the government is fully capable of dealing with this worldwide crisis with public support. The lockdown order of the administration must be strictly followed. Do not get out of homes unnecessarily. All necessary services for public convenience have been exempted from this.

HEG Company presents Rs one crore cheque for CM’s Relief Fund: Chief Minister’s appeal for public cooperation for the prevention of coronavirus has had a widespread impact. The Chief Minister was presented with a cheque of Rs one crore for the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for taking necessary precautionary measures in dealing with the coronavirus on behalf of HEG Company Bhopal.

On this occasion, Executive Director Shri Manish Gulati and Head of Human Resources Shri K.N. Mathur, were present on behalf of HEG Company.

Chouhan contributes his one month salary to CM Relief Fund: Chouhan has made an announcement to give his one month salary to the Chief Minister Relief Fund to tackle the crisis of Corona Virus. He also appealed to the Members of the Legislative Assembly to cooperate in this regard.
