Madhya Pradesh: Pench National Park rescue team catches tiger in Seoni after 2 hour rescue operation

Seoni: The rescue team of Pench National Park has caught a tiger that had created terror in Paraspani village of Kurai range of South forest range in the Madhya Pradesh’s Seoni district for the last one week.

After a two-hour rescue operation in the revenue areas of the Paraspani jungle, the team caught the tiger after tranquilizing it. The tiger has been sent to Mukundpur Zoo of Rewa. Villagers living in panic have breathed a sigh of relief.

Forest department officials said the tiger was not well. That is the reason why he was wandering near the village because he was not able to hunt.

The tiger has attacked and injured two persons on June 1st and 4th. Officials said that there is information of another tiger in the vicinity and information regarding its whereabouts is being collected.

Kurai Forest Range Officer Basant Barkade said that the rescue team of Pench National Park arrived at Parasapani at 5 am on Thursday. Around 6.30 am, the rescue operation began. The location of the tiger was detected with the help of three elephants.

The tiger was located near a well near the sugarcane crop in the village. After getting the location, at 8.30 am, Dr Akhilesh Mishra of Pench National Park tranquilized the tiger. After testing the tiger, it has been sent to Mukundpur Zoo.
