Madhya Pradesh/ Kidnapped child murdered in Rewa’s Chorhata village, dead body found in well

Rewa: A child who was kidnapped from Chorhata village under Amarpatan police station area in Rewa has been murdered. Police recovered the body of the child from a well. It is being told that the kidnappers had already murdered the child and then demanded the ransom. 

After killing the child, they called for ransom. Top police officers have reached the village. The accused is a close relative of the victim’s family. Earlier in March, two twin brothers were also murdered in Satna in a similar manner.

According to the information received from the police, the kidnapped child Vikas Prajapati (13), was abducted from Chorhata village in the district. He was killed by the kidnappers. On the second day of kidnapping the child, Amit Prajapati received a call to give a ransom of Rs 10 lakh.

Former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed concern at the incident. He tweeted that the incident of the murder of an innocent child after kidnapping in Satna is heartbreaking. In the past, two innocent brothers were murdered in Satna after they were kidnapped, but the government is yet to wake up. There is no law and order in the state. Now the government must wake up. How many innocents will be snatched from their parents, Shivraj asked.

After this, the search for the accused started and one accused was arrested. On the basis of information provided by him, the body of the child was recovered from a well in Bansipur village. One kidnapper is still absconding and the police are searching for him.
