Barwani: Narmada’s water level is steadily increasing. The water level reached 137.100 meters at 6 pm on Wednesday. Water is circulating around the brick kilns on Rajghat Road. At the same time, the water level is also increasing in the villages of Narmada Valley. Rajghat has turned into an island and 11 families were shifted to a tin shed and a safe place on Wednesday. While 8 families were shifted on Tuesday.

SDM Abhay Singh Ohriya said that all the 19 families from Rajghat have been shifted to a safe place. NVDA officers took stock of the temporary settlements. Meanwhile, Naban chief Medha Patkar and activists visited Eklabara, Kavathi, Gangli and other villages of Manawar tehsil. At the same time, the geological movement is expected to increase.

Status of dams

Indira Sagar: The water level of the dam is 261.76 meters. 19180 cumecs of water is being released from 12 gates.

Omkareshwar: The water level of the dam is 192.78 meters. 22446 cumecs leaving water from 18 gate.

Sardar Sarovar: The water level of the dam is 136.74 meters. 750000 cusecs of water is being released from 23 gates.
