Panna: A red alert has been declared in Madhya Pradesh’s Panna Tiger Reserve area in view of the possibility of wildlife hunting. Tiger Reserve Deputy Director Jarande Ramhari declared a red alert in the core and buffer areas from Monday to January 16 and directed to take special precaution in hunting-prone areas.
The reserve territory and responsible staff have been asked to patrol the entire area and take necessary action immediately if any suspicious activity is noticed. This alert has been announced in the Tiger Reserve area in view of the information of the possibility of hunting these days.
The Panna Tiger Reserve, which is inhabited by tigers, currently has more than 55 tigers, which in addition to the core area, are wandering in the buffer and surrounding forests. In recent times, the park management has become conscious about the protection of tigers from hunting incidents in the buffer area and the surrounding forest.
