MP Coronavirus Updates/ Two more COVID-19 suspects die in Indore; 10 positive cases in Indore; total 21 in state

Indore: Two more corona suspect patients died on Thursday in Indore. One died at the MR TB hospital in Indore in the early hours of Thursday. While the other died on the way from Ujjain to Indore. Both of them were referred from Ujjain after complaints of cold, cough and difficulty in breathing. It is only after the investigation report is received that it would be known whether they were positive or not.

The Corona Bulletin issued by MGM Medical College said that a 47-year-old man, who lived in Rishinagar, Ujjain, died during treatment on Thursday morning. The patient was referred to Indore from Ujjain’s Civil Hospital. After this, he was admitted to MR TB Hospital on 25 March. The patient had trouble breathing. He was also suffering from cold, cough and fever. The patient had no other disease. No travel and contact history of the patient was reported. The corona sample was sent for investigation, the report of which is yet to be received. He was treated with antibiotics and other medicines.

The second man’s family said he had typhoid: At the same time, a person resident of Bakhal in Mahidpur also died on Thursday. The family admitted him to Madhav Nagar Hospital in Ujjain after he was found to be suffering from difficulty in breathing. On Thursday, when the condition did not improve, he was referred to Indore, where he died on the way. His samples have been sent to Indore for investigation. However, the family says that he had typhoid. Earlier, a corona positive woman from Ujjain died on Wednesday. 5 people, including the woman’s son-in-law, have been found positive.

Positive cases spike in Indore: While there was not a single positive patient of coronavirus in Indore till Tuesday night, within 12 hours, as many as 10 positive patients were detected. A woman from Ujjain had earlier died during treatment at MY Hospital. This was the first death from corona not only in Indore but also in Madhya Pradesh.

With two more deaths, the death toll from corona could rise to three in the state if the two deceased test positive to corona.

During the day, 5 patients, including the woman, were hospitalized for treatment. The number increased to 10 by Wednesday night. With this, the positive cases in MP have increased to 21.

The surprising thing is that 5 new patients in Indore are relatives of a woman from Ujjain who had died earlier

Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr. Praveen Jadia said that the 65-year-old positive woman was a resident of Ujjain. She died on Wednesday afternoon at around 3 pm. Four other patients found to be coronavirus positive live in different areas of Indore. These include a 50-year-old female, a 48-year-old male, a 68-year-old male and a 65-year-old male.

These patients are admitted to 2 private hospitals in the city. Among the patients are two men who went on a pilgrimage to Vaishnodevi and recently returned. On the other hand, it is learned that the deceased woman of Ujjain had been involved in a sit-in protest against the CAA in Begambagh a few days ago. His son has confirmed this.

In Indore, the houses and localities of corona positive patients are being sanitized.

Condition of relatives who attended funeral deteriorate: The woman who died in Ujjain also had two brothers at her funeral. When their condition deteriorated on Wednesday morning, someone left them at Lal Hospital in Malharganj. From there, they were sent the isolation center MRTB in front of Gokuldas Hospital. Then both escaped and reached Lal Hospital.

Ambulance refuses to transport patients: The hospital management called the Health Department and the administration’s helpline to send the two to MRTB again, but none picked up the call. Hospital contacted the 108 call center, but they refused to transport them saying that the ambulance did not have the necessary means to transport a corona positive patient.

According to the hospital’s in-charge Dr. Ilyas, the condition of both the patients is critical. These are the relatives of the woman who died in Ujjain. One is 45 and the other is about 40. Both are not able to give too much information. However, it has not been investigated yet, so it is difficult to say whether they are suffering from corona or not.
