Madhya Pradesh/ Collector slaps BJP leader during rally in support of CAA in Biaora, SDM thrashes people

Biora / Rajgarh: While Section 144 is in force in Biora of Madhya Pradesh, BJP workers who were holding a rally in support of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) got into a scuffle with the Collector.

Collector allegedly slapped a BJP worker shouting slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai. After this, some more people started raising slogans in the crowd, and then the Collector lost temper and started hitting the crowd.

When the protesters did not stop, the collector ran behind the youths and caught hold of a young man’s sweater. SDM Priya Verma also slapped many people. Senior police officers have also reached the spot.

To stop the rally, the Collector herself took a policeman’s baton and first hit the people with sticks to stop them. Then she scuffled with Rajgarh MLA Amar Singh Yadav, who led the maha rally. But the rally did not stop and then the Collector tried to stop the crowd by putting a car in front of the rally at Gayatri temple, but the crowd did not stop.

Meanwhile, the collector slapped Ravi Barone, BJP district media in-charge. This intensified the dispute and Collector Nidhi Nivedita and SDM Priya Verma slapped people. Some people in the crowd objected to the behaviour of the officers.

3 BJP leaders receive head injuries in police lathi charge: The police then resorted to lathi-charge in which 3 people including Girraj Julaniya of Jeerapur, BJP General Secretary Vikas Croatia of Pachor, and District Convener of Merchant Cell Deepakmal Sharma received head injuries and they have been admitted to the hospital.

On receiving information about the incident, Bhopal DIG Dr. Ashish reached the city police station and took information about the entire incident.

The police arrested 3 women, including Kanchan Soni, Trupti Sharma, Rinku Suneri, besides Vinod Nagar, VHP district secretary Mukesh Sen, former CCB chairman Kailash Maurya. BJP leaders have condemned the incident. Shivraj Singh tweeted about the incident.
