Madhya Pradesh/ BJP leader’s shopping complexes demolished in Bhopal, had encroached on govt land worth 2 crores in Neelbad

Bhopal: In the city, a campaign against the land mafia has been ongoing for the last 10 days. On Monday in the Neelbad area, two separate complexes on the government land built by the family of Suraj Singh Maran, a BJP leader and former member of the Backward Classes Commission, were demolished. There were 12 shops in one and three shops in the other complex.

Cost of encroached land Rs 2 crore: The cost of the land is said to be around two crore rupees. All the shops there were running on rent and their rent was more than 50 thousand rupees a month. Achal Singh Maran, Tikaram Maran and their associates who built the complex opposed the action.

Protesters were chased away: The police force present on the spot chased them away and made some people sit in the police station until the action was over. This is the second major action of the administration in the Bhadbhada region.

Municipal Corporation and District Administration staff along with SDM Huzur Rajesh Srivastava reached Neelbad in the morning. Here the Maran family had built two separate complexes. 12 shops were built on 8,000 square feet of government land. Three shops were built by encroaching on the government land near it. These shops were rented. The municipal corporation, led by SDM, razed both the complexes.

Ghanshyam Singh is mastermind of Rohit Housing Society scam

The Kolar police arrested Rohit Housing Construction Society mastermind and former director Ghanshyam Singh Rajput from his house on Monday. He had a reward of 20 thousand rupees. According to the Kolar police station in-charge Anil Vajpayee, fraud cases were filed against Ghanshyam at the Kolar police station. He will be produced in court on Tuesday and taken on police remand.

18 teams raided offices of directors of 21 tainted cooperatives in Indore

In Indore, the administration team raided the offices and houses of the directors of 21 tainted cooperatives. In the late night action, documents were seized which were taken away in 149 bags and four boxes. The team first reached the house of Bobby Chhabra’s brother Satveer Singh Chhabra at Paganis Paga. Here, documents, maps of six cooperative societies viz. Akash, Jagriti, Savita, Karmchari, Sheetal Nagar, Nanda Grih Nirman Sahkari Cooperative Society were seized.

Over 100 bighas of land free in Gwalior-Neemuch

  • Freed 59 bighas of land from 14 farmers in Gwalior. The cost of the land is about 120 crores.
  • In Neemuch, about 50 bighas of land were freed from the possession of five people including BJP leader Rajendra Mundra.
