KJo plans to create a franchise for Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar

Mumbai: Karan Johar launched Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar earlier this year in Dhadak. The film was a remake of super-hit Marathi flick Sairat and was directed by Shashank Khaitan. The film received mixed reviews but managed to earn decent money at the box office. Now Karan who produced the film is planning to bring them together once more.

“Karan thinks that Janhvi and Ishaan shared a good on-screen chemistry. So he is planning to create a franchise for them. He feels that Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt’s films Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath ki Dulhania have become hits, and so he wishes to make films for Ishaan and Janhavi on those lines,” says a source.

It is said that Ishaan who made his debut with Beyond the Clouds has been getting quite a few offers from other directors. However, he is yet to sign a film with another banner. So there is a possibility that he will first do this film and then sign other projects.

Janhvi on the other hand will be seen playing a dancer in Karan’s magnum opus Takht and is said to be essaying a role of Indian Air Force pilot Gunjan Saxena under Karan’s banner.
