Jaipur: The general manager of the renowned ITC Rajputana Sheraton Hotel, a luxury five-star hotel here, was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly molesting two Mexican women, who were staying at the Hotel. After an initial inquiry, the manager, Rishiraj Singh, was arrested by the Vidhayakpuri police and booked under sections 354, 354-A and 452 of the IPC. The police have registered a case based on the version of the incident given by the two victims. The accused was in an inebriated state, the complaints said. The investigation into the molestation charge will be carried out by the Vidhayakpuri police station in-charge, under the supervision of Ashok Nagar SP Ramgopal Pareek.

The same evening, a meeting between principal secretaries of the various departments of the state government and ambassadors from nine countries was scheduled at the hotel. The meeting was followed by a CII event. The chief secretary and the director general of police also participated in this event. It was during the meeting that incident of sexual assault on the two women came to light and the police sprung into action. The two Mexican women have been sent to the Mexican Embassy in New Delhi.
