New Delhi: Kangana Ranaut had announced her directorial debut long time ago with Teju – which was going to star the actress herself in a major role.
If rumours are to believed, Kangana had started pre-production work on it but had to take a break, owing to financial issues.
” Kangana has started working on the film some time ago but inspite of having backing from Shailesh Singh and one more producer, she was looking for another producer to come on board. The reason for this was that the film requires a big budget,” a source said.
“It is not made on the lavish budget but since Kangana is going to essay role of an eighty-year-old female, she will have to use a lot of prosthetic and makeup. So, she will need additional money for it. She is looking for a production house to join the film and only then she will be able to take the film on floor,” he added.
However, the Simran actress shot down any such development.
Kangana, on the other hand, is busy shooting for Manikarnika and will have Mental Hai Kya releasing next year. She is also expected to start Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s Panga, where she will be seen playing a Kabbadi player.
